Meru Gets a New Limousine

Meru media mogul Zablon Mathenge today launched a state of the art limousine which will be used by residents for weddings. The hammer 3 which has cost Mr. Mathenge a whooping 40M will be available for hire effective next week. The new hammer3 limousine Photo| Felix Kinyua Zablon who also owns Zanira company which controls Mwariama Tv, Mwariama Radio Station and Radio Furaha was all smiles during the launch as he welcomed the new limousine which has been named ‘Golden Ring Limo’. Speaking during the launch at Kaaga Primary School in meru county,different leaders have applauded the idea saying it will help the local people in weddings. North Imenti Member of Parliament Raheem Dawood promised to hire the limousine to BodaBoda riders who want to wed next year if they elect him back to parliamen

Meru Players Stranded in Siaya

Meru County Team after disagreements with officials over allowance.|Photo Courtesy A team that has been representing Meru  in the just concluded inter-county games in Siaya have cried foul over what they term as mistreatment from the officials who had accompanied them. According to sources from the camp, the players slept on the streets after they were kicked out of Maranda High School were they have been hosted since the games started last Friday. The players allege that the officials who had accompanied them went site-seeing to the neighboring Uganda only to resurface a day before the official return date. The team further claim that the officials failed to offer the necessary facilities including essentials such as a first aid kit. Chaos as Kiraitu, Munya Supporters Clash During Meru Jamhuri Day Fete

Jamhuri day celebrations were put on hold in Meru after the event turned chaotic following clashes between the area county senator and the current Governor supporters. Trouble began immediately Mr Munya took to the dais at the Meru national Polytechnic where the event was held. Police had to shoot in the air on several occasions as both sides tried to outdo each other exchanging blows and kicks.
